TRAVELLING to outback Queensland can be daunting because of the distances involved but there is an alternative. You can see it by air and land on a three-day adventure with Seair Touring.
Led by ecological crusader Peter Gash, the adventure features travel in a private plane to the outback’s townships and cattle stations.
Travellers can grab a pie from the Birdsville Bakery and enjoy it atop the huge Big Red sand dune, see the expanse of Lake Eyre, cruise on Cooper Creek at Innamincka and drop in to Charlotte Plains cattle station.
These Outback Air tours depart from Brisbane and the Gold Coast and are limited to 12 people. There are just two more tours this year, on September 22 and October 5. The cost is $2985 per person.
