SRI Lanka is growing in popularity as a multi-generational family holiday destination.
Recognising this, On The Go Tours has launched three new group tours designed especially for families with young children and teenagers.
The tours start in October.
The Sri Lanka Family Adventure tour and Kids, Cultural Triangle & Beach tour welcome children aged five and over, while the Sri Lanka Adventure for Teens is for families with children 12 years and older.
On the eight-day Sri Lanka Family Adventure tour discover the Dambulla cave temples and the ancient Sigiriya rock fortress; spot elephants on a jeep safari through Minneriya National Park, before exploring Kandy the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings with an evening visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
The nine-day Sri Lanka Adventure for Teens also includes going in search of herds of elephants, spotted dear and toque monkeys in the Udawalawe Yala National Park.
Teens can also enjoy a canoeing adventure along the Samanalawewa reservoir and visit to the famous World’s End in viewpoint in Horton Plains.
The Kids, Cultural Triangle & Beach tour is a longer 13-day tour through Sri Lanka’s famous cultural triangle and offers something for the whole family. Discover the wildlife in Minneriya and Yala National Parks, walk along the sandy Golden Mile and bathe in the crystal waters of Beruwela beach.
