MARILYN Monroe and Michael Jackson are set to star as this year's Floriade takes visitors on a trip down memory lane through the theme Pop Culture.
Australia's premier flower festival takes over Commonwealth Park in Canberra from September 15-October 14.
Festival-goers will be treated to retro-inspired flower beds showcasing some of the 20th century's most iconic figures in music, film, literature and social media. Expect to see Marilyn Monroe and Ken Done-inspired creations alongside beds dedicated to children’s book character Grug, the Rubik's Cube and Where's Wally.
NightFest, Floriade's ticketed after-dark experience, returns for five nights, from September 26-30. There will be illuminated flower beds, a line-up of food and drink stalls, nightly entertainment and dazzling lighting installations.
Floriade wraps up on October 14 with the popular Dogs' Day Out, featuring a superhero dress-up pop culture theme.
