IS physical activity a part of your life? If so, how do you go about it? Is it something you love, hate or are indifferent to?
If you have a few minutes to share your thoughts, and are over the age of 60, University of Queensland researcher Valerie Wang is keen to hear from you.
She is conducting an international survey in which participants are asked questions related to their physical health, physical activity levels, how they engage in any activity (i.e. alone and/or in a group) and the extent to which they identify as physically active and older.
Ms Wang said she hoped to help seniors in terms of exercise because of its well-known benefits but “sometimes they have trouble engaging because they are alone or the right facilities are not in place”.
As well as extending research in the area and assisting policy makers, she hopes her findings will help guide retirement villages on what kind of programs can be developed.
The study takes 15-30 minutes to complete.
