Could deep sea krill oil could hold the key to combating knee pain?
The CSIRO is looking for people in Adelaide aged 40-65 to take part in a study testing the effectiveness of deep sea krill oil supplements to help reduce pain in knee osteoarthritis sufferers. Around 2.1 million Australians have osteoarthritis. “Current treatments for pain relief are painkillers or anti-inflammatory medications,” said CSIRO researcher Dr Welma Stonehouse.
