Ten performing acts may well be shakin’ all over as they prepare for the Lord Mayor’s Seniors Cabaret Gala Concert in Brisbane this week.
The 1970s-themed concert, on Sunday 26 August, marks the curtain call for Queensland Seniors Week 2018.
From health and wellbeing sessions to technology talks, morning teas to forums about big issues like participating longer in the workforce, hundreds of celebratory activities will be offered across the state, honouring older Queenslanders’ contribution to community, between 18 and 26 August.
Those performing in the Lord Mayor’s Seniors Cabaret Gala have honed their skills during one-on-one masterclasses with some of Australia’s much-loved music performers including Normie Rowe, Rhonda Burchmore, Simon Gallaher and Jackie Love as well as suburban performances in recent weeks.
