THERE were no complaints when Queensland's Jessica Miles was named Australia's top retirement village manager at an industry award ceremony on the Gold Coast.
Jessica is village manager of Renaissance Retirement Village in Cleveland, south of Brisbane, and took out the top gong at the Leading Age Services of Australia (LASA) Retirement Village Manager of the Year Awards.
LASA chief executive Sean Rooney said the award promotes and recognises excellence across the diverse and dynamic fields of endeavour in the retirement living industry.
Mr Rooney said Jessica 'continually maintains high standards in customer service, sales and marketing, complaints and dispute resolution and robust operational management processes across the retirement community she manages."
"Jessica's nomination particularly impressed the judges with the Renaissance Residents Committee also commending her for her clear, prompt and fair decision-making, effective communication skills, and not having had a single complaint made about her actions or decisions in her period as manager.
He said Jessica's leadership "has created the positive, wonderful and vibrant community that Renaissance Retirement Village enjoys today".
Joint runners up for the Award were Jessica Madden, Manor Operations Manager, De Paul Manor Estate (Southport, QLD) and Genevieve Lee-Carroll, Village Coordinator, Leederville Gardens Estate (Leederville, WA).
The winner and runners up were announced at the Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) National Integrated Seniors Housing Conference 2018 on the Gold Coast.
