GOT your party plans sorted for New Year’s Eve yet? If you’re the kind of person who likes to ring in the New Year in style, why not head to Sydney Opera House.
Tickets are now on sale for Opera Australia’s annual end-of-year bash – an unforgettable night full of glitz, glamour and excitement.
You can select from two performances – a gala concert featuring popular arias by Verdi, Puccini and Rossini, or one of the world's most loved operas, Puccini's La Bohème – and then combine a range of dining and party options to suit your budget.
If you feel like going all-out, you could start the night with an exclusive pre-performance gala three-course dinner in one of the vast northern foyers, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the harbour.
The interval is programmed to catch the 9pm fireworks, and then, after the last note has been sung, the midnight party will swing into action in the northern foyers of both the Concert Hall and Joan Sutherland Theatre, prime vantage points for arguably one of the best fireworks displays in the world.
Packages start from $399.
