SOUTH Australians are being urged to Move It In May to help end the pain of arthritis, a condition that affects one in four Croweaters, from children to seniors.
Exercise is important for all people with arthritis. So to help combat its impact, Arthritis SA wants everyone to set themselves a physical challenge and get moving.
Move it in May is a fun physical challenge to help you get moving while raising money to help support education and research into arthritis.
You can set yourself whatever physical challenge interests you – it could be to walk 5000 steps per day, ride as far as you can or hit the pool for some laps.
You can join as an individual or as a team. The challenge is for all ages, all fitness levels, and can be done anywhere. Grab a group of friends and do the activity together to help keep each other motivated and accountable.
All funds raised will help support research initiatives and community education programs.
Arthritis SA supports people with arthritis through education, awareness campaigns and funding research.
