A NEW website is making New York City more accessible for all travellers.
Accessible NYC is designed to provide unique, inspirational content for visitors planning a New York City experience.
It was launched by the city's official destination marketing organisation NYC & Company, to make sure accessibility does not stand in the way of enjoying the city.
"With more than 60 million people visiting NYC every year, we estimate that six million have disabilities. Helping them make informed decisions before they come will ensure that their time spent visiting the greatest city in the world is spent in the most accessible places," said Commissioner of the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities Victor Calise.
An interactive search filter allows travellers to find hotels, restaurants, attractions and more, across all five NYC boroughs, sorted by the specific resources that accommodate their mobility, auditory and visual needs.
