LOOKING for a furry new friend? RSPCA shelters are dropping their adoption prices this weekend to help more pets find their fur-ever homes.
Most animals will be available for adoption for just $29 from today to Sunday February 25 across the country as part of the Clear the Shelters campaign.
“We want to get pets out of the shelter and into their new homes as quickly as possible, so this is a win for the animal and a win for anyone wanting to adopt a new pet - and that’s a great outcome for us,” said RSPCA Australia chief executive Heather Neil.
“The reduced adoption fee doesn’t come near covering the costs of preparing an animal for adoption, so we can’t offer these low prices all the time – but we also don’t want money to be the only obstacle to bringing a pet into a happy and loving home.”
Normal adoption procedures apply and all animals are desexed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
