AS the days grow warmer it's clear Spring is nearly here. And there's no better time to get some dirt on your hands.
Nursery and Garden Industry Victoria is encouraging everyone to make the most of the weather and start prepping and planting their gardens for the new season.
It's launched the Get in the Garden campaign to encourage people to visit their local nurseries on the first weekend of Spring, September 2-3.
"Whether you have a yard, balcony or courtyard or even just some pot plants on a window sill, the first weekend of Spring is the perfect opportunity to get your garden into gear with high-quality plants and invaluable advice from your local nursery," said chief executive Craig Taberner.
"Knowledgeable nursery staff can help customers find the right plants for their gardens, no matter the size."
