THE popular Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo will take place at Buchanan Park Events Complex from August 11-13.
Initially launched in 1959, the three day rodeo includes bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback bronc, rope and tie, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and breakaway roping.
It's also known for its festival like atmosphere and will host a range of great entertainment acts and other attractions, including behind the scenes tours, the Festibull and The Isa Street party with Jessica Mauboy.
There will also be a Mardi Gras parade, bush poet's breakfast and much more to keep everyone entertained.
Golden Guitar winning US based husband and wife duo O'SHEA, regular crowd favourites Busby Marou, Newcastle based country rock band Hurricane Fall and popular solo artist Troy Kemp are all part of the exciting lineup.
Hurricane Fall guitarist Jimmy Hick said the band was excited to be making its first appearance at the event.
"We all come from a background playing in rock bands, playing blues as well as country. It's all these elements syncing together that make up our music."
