CELEBRATED Spanish tenor Jose Carreras will be hitting high C’s on the high seas on BRAVO! Cruise of the Performing Arts 2017 from October 31 to November 7 next year.
Guests of BRAVO! will be privileged to hear one of the final performances of the tenor who is embarking on his Farewell World Tour in 2017.
Carreras has been a superstar among opera fans since the 1970s, when he made a series of thunderous debuts in the great Italian tenor roles. He became a household name in the 1990s as one of The Three Tenors, alongside Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo, who remain the best-selling classical music ensemble of all time.
Carreras said: “Music is the great love of my life, and I am excited to be sharing some of my favourite music with the guests of BRAVO!. Singing on a cruise around the South Pacific is one of the few things I have yet to do as a concert artist. I am looking forward to this new experience.”
Joining Carreras on stage will be internationally renowned Conductor Maestro David Giménez.
The seven-night cruise to the South Pacific is being run by Australia’s leading music-themed charter company Choose Your Cruise and will be aboard the Royal Caribbean’s luxury cruise liner, Radiance of the Seas. The ship boasts a 1000-seat theatre, as well as a nine-story central atrium, a gymnasium, cinema, several swimming pools and a range of quality dining options.
BRAVO! departs from Sydney and visits the jewels of the South Pacific including the Isle of Pines and Noumea.
Prices start at $2,614 per person twin share for an inside stateroom.
