VOLUNTARY assisted dying laws will be the focus of the Victorian Law Foundation's The Law and You forum this month.
The expert panel will talk about some of the legal and health perspectives around the legislation, particularly how the recommendations from the final report into Voluntary Assisted Dying could affect the legal rights of Victorians.
Panelists include member of the Ministerial Advisory Panel on Voluntary Assisted Dying Julian Gardner AM, palliative care nurse Steve Amsterdam, lawyer Kathy Wilson and clinical director of palliative medicine at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem Dr Scott King.
The forum comes after the Voluntary Assisted Dying bill was introduced to Parliament at the end of September.
The free event starts at 6pm on October 26 at Deakin Edge at Melbourne's Federation Square.
Bookings essential.
