MEMBERS of seniors' computer clubs from around Australia will be in Sydney for the 19th Australian Computer Conference for Seniors on November 8-9.
The gathering, at Rydges World Square Hotel in Pitt Street, will be officially opened by Minister for Ageing Tanya Davies.
An impressive line-up of Australian and international speakers has been engaged for the two days.
They include Warren Henry whose book, The Ark in Your Pocket, addresses the dilemma of how modern families maintain bonds when they live further apart; and Good Things Foundation chief executive Helen Milner, who will talk about the Be Connected Network and what it can offer.
Other speakers will look at research designed with seniors in mind, online shopping, communication technology, new technologies and tech tips.
"We also have speakers from Google, NBN, Microsoft, ACCAN and eHealth," said Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association president Nan Bosler.
"This conference is open to all seniors and those who have an interest in technology."
Conference registration: ASCCA club members $90 (one day) $140 (two days); Seniors Card holders $100/$160; others $190/$320.
