LOOK WHO dropped in for a cuppa with residents at Living Care's Alexander Campbell House.
Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott received a warm welcome when he hung out with residents at ACH in his home suburb of Forestville and presented them with an Australian flag recently.
The Member for Warringah took time to have a cuppa and a chat with residents, some of who were his neighbours growing up. He even posed for selfies.
Alexander Campbell House is one of several residential services run by Living Care. In almost eight decades Living Care has grown from a single aged care service in Sydney's Pendle Hill to a service provider with seven retirement villages, nine residential services and a range of in-home care services across New South Wales.
ACH is just around the corner from Living Care's Forestville Retirement Village on the fringe of Garigal National Park. For those who like to be out and about the village is positioned on a bus route near to Warringah Road for easy access to the CBD and is ideally located to the Forestville RSL and the Forestville Shopping Centre.
Garigal National Park offers walking tracks with the opportunity to see an abundance of wildlife.
Residents can also get visits from the hairdresser as well take part in regular social activities, such as fundraising, craft and exercise. A chaplain also visits regularly and is available to residents, their friends or family for pastoral support.
The village's 32 one-bedrooms villas all feature modern kitchens and bathrooms, separate lounge and dining areas, cosy courtyards and a security system.
Property services staff ensure residents enjoy the comforts of home living, without having to provide ongoing maintenance or find reliable handymen.
