MELBOURNE will play host to the best dancesport athletes in the world when the 72nd Australian DanceSport Championship takes place at Hisense Arena this month.
Athletes from more than 20 countries – including world standard champions Claudia Koehler and Benedetto Ferruggia – will compete at the championship, from December 8-10.
Affectionately nicknamed “The Aussies”, the event is the premier dancesport event in Australia and a key event on the international circuit.
Koehler and Ferruggia will be returning to Australia for the first time since winning the world championship in 2012 and will give demonstrations on the Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Other feature events include the Australian Closed Latin, the World Class World DanceSport Federation Open Standard and Latin, the Junior Open, Youth Open, Professional Open and Masters 1 Open.
