TWELVE months ago 81-yr-old grandmother Jean Young took a step into the unknown - a 113 metre step to be precise as she abseiled the 27 storeys down the St James Building in Melbourne.
This year the thrill seeking octogenarian will once again make an altitude shift while raising funds for Victorian children in foster care.
Altitude Shift is a personal challenge developed by Anglicare Victoria to take people out of their comfort zone. The event is open to everyone over the age of 16 and is capped at 200 places..... and there is still a chance to enter.
"We are seeking ordinary people who want to do extraordinary things," said Paul McDonald, Chief Executive of Anglicare Victoria.
"If you can live on the edge aand are looking for some excitement and the thrill of helping support Victorian children living in foster care, we need you."
Altitude Shift costs $150 to register and participants must fundraise a minimum of $850 to secure their spot.
