The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has warned people of the dangers of buying tablets and other medical treatments online.
The federal government body has specifically warned against the purchase of popular online men's enhancement products Platinum- Male Enhancer, Meltz- Instant Energy for Males and Bulbao- Male Enhancer.
The TGA said testing revealed both products contained undeclared substances that were legally available by prescription only.
Platinum- Male Enhancer was found to contain sildenafil, sulfosildenafil and sulfoaildenafil, Meltz- Instant Energy for Males was found to contain vardenafil and Bulbao- Male Enhancer was found to contain sildenafil, tadalafil and yohimbine.
The TGA advised it had not assessed the products for quality, safety or efficacy or approved the manufacturer and stressed that supply of tablets containing undisclosed medicine was illegal.
The body is working with the Australian Border Force in an attempt to stop both products being shipped to Australia.
It urged anyone who has purchased any of these products to stop taking them and to hand them in at their local pharmacy for safe disposal.
