BIN lids, zippo lighters and even the kitchen sink - Stomp brings everyday objects to the stage for a visual and audio extravaganza. And we have two double passes to the opening show to give away.
After sensational seasons on Broadway and the West End, Stomp returns to Australia with its latest show.
Eight performers use an array of ordinarily mundane objects, from which they create musical magic - an exhilarating soundtrack inspired by the commotion of everyday life.
One scene, Trolleys, plays on the experience of negotiating a busy shopping aisle with a fully-laden trolley. The piece builds to Stomp's first ever fully-fledged drum corps march: certainly an eye-catching spectacle.
Producer James Cundall said Stomp is one of his favourite shows.
"It is a unique and supremely clever idea to create music from everyday objects and combine it with side-splitting comedy and intricate choreography to produce a polished theatrical performance, the likes of which you've never seen before," he said.
"Stomp has little or no melody in the traditional sense, so it doesn't matter if your taste in music is jazz, classical, dance or pop. The show has no words either, so it really is a show for everyone."
Stomp starts its Australian season at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne from May 1-6 before heading to the Gold Coast's The Star from May 31-June 3, Adelaide's Entertainment Centre Theatre June 6-10 and Sydney's Capitol Theatre from July 31-August 5.
How to win:
The Senior has two double passes to the Melbourne opening show at 7pm on May 1 to give away.
