WITH more than 30 great events, one of the hottest places to be this May is under the Noosa Tipis on Noosa Main Beach during the Noosa Food and Wine Festival.
The Queensland Sunshine Coast festival runs from May 17-20, with the tipis hosting the opening party, celebrating Noosa's amazing collection of restaurants and some of Australia's leading wines.
The festival then continues across the weekend with events presented by some of Noosa's finest restaurants.
For the finale, Noosa Boathouse and Dal Zotto Wines present a party at sunset on Main Beach where you can slip off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes while enjoying the best of the region's food and wine.
If you're a foodie (or wine lover) and have a thirst for knowledge, then the Olsson's Salts Yurt is the place to be in the Festival Village on May 19-20. Olsson's Salts will present an interesting range of masterclasses from some of Australia's best chefs, producers and winemakers. The masterclasses are ticketed events and are only accessible with Festival Village tickets. Masterclass prices start at $20.
Festival Village passes start at $30 and include a glass of Xanadu Margaret River on arrival.
