FALL IN love with Audrey Hepburn all over again this Valentine’s Day with a special screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
The 1961 romantic classic starring Hepburn and George Peppard will be screened at the Hayden Orpheum in Cremorne on February 14.
The $60 package includes two film tickets, two glasses of bubbly and two ice-creams. Normal price tickets are also available.
Directed by Blake Edwards and written by George Axelrod, the film is loosely based on the Truman Capote novel of the same name.
Hepburn’s portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naive, eccentric American socialite is considered by film buffs to be the actress’s most memorable role.
The movie won two Oscars for best original score and best original song for Moon River. It was also nominated for three other Academy Awards – best actress for Hepburn, best adapted screenplay and best art direction.
In 2012 the film was deemed “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” by the US Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
