A great way to discover them all is to take the 100 Beach Challenge and find your South Coast favourite.

Whether you're old school, and tick off beaches on the print-out, or tech savvy and sign up to the geo-locative game for smart phones or devices, adventure awaits.

Grab the car keys, play your favourite tunes and discover new secluded swimming spots and uncover hidden treasures along the way. There are categories for families, photographers, adventurers and more.

Whether you've visited many times, or if it's your first time, the Shoalhaven 100 Beach Challenge is the perfect way to ensure you get the most out of the region's 170km coastline.

Did you know that the sand is so clean it squeaks between your toes on more than 10 Jervis Bay white-sand beaches? You can also tick off the region's top 10 surf beaches or take your furry friend and stay near one of the many pet-friendly beaches.

Participating in the Shoalhaven 100 Beach Challenge is easy.

You can log onto 100beachchallenge.com via an email address or social media account and navigate to the checkpoint of your chosen beach. When you're 500 metres away, the camera on your smart phone or device will launch.

All you need so is snap a pic and share it on Facebook and Instagram with the #100beachchallenge, check the beach off your list, and head to the next one.

The Leaderboard section of the website will show you whether you're on your way to being the top scorer.
