While in Stresa we will take a boat ride to the island of Isola Bella famous for its magnificent Palace & gardens where white peacocks roam free. We will also spend a day exploring Villa Carlotta on the shore of Lake Como, before visiting the village of Bellagio with its cobbled lanes and stone stairways winding their way past century-old buildings and shops selling the finest Italian wares and cuisine.
After saying arrivederci to the beautiful lakes we make our way to the coast for an overnight stay in Nice. While in the fairy-tale principality of Monaco, with our local guide we see the Grand Prix circuit, the Grand Cornice Road and the royal palace home to Prince Albert II.
Awaiting our arrival in Arles situated on the banks of the Rhone River in the Provence region of France will be the captain and crew of the Emerald Liberte.
As we cruise down the Rhone river local guides will showcase the rich history of Avignon, Tournon, Macon & Beaune before we travel by coach to Basel in Switzerland to continue our amazing holiday on the Rhine River on board the Emerald Sky.
The magnificence of the Black Forest region, the pretty half-timbered townhouses leaning out over narrow cobbled streets in La Petit France, the 2000 year old town of Koblenz and the spectacular Rhine gorge are as just a few of the amazing sites we see before reaching our final destination the canalled city of Amsterdam.
