LOVE a good drop? You better get yourself along to Tasmania's Great Eastern Wine Weekend next month.
The state's east coast will be bursting with the region's best food and wines across September 8-10.
Freycinet Lodge will host the weekend's highlight, The Great Eastern Wine and Dine Dinner, on September 9. Overlooking Great Oyster Bay, guests can indulge in canapes and a four course meal of local produce matched with a selection of wine presented by its maker.
If you can't make the dinner there's a rustic farm lunch at Craigie Knowe Vineyard to launch the winery's 2017 Rose and 2017 Pinot Gris over a three course lunch of seafood, roast lamb and homemade desserts.
Wildlife lovers can sample reds and whites while watching migrating whales with wine guru Tim Goddard at the Wine in Wineglass Bay Cruise on September 9 while music lovers can order some oysters and relax at Bubbles, Bivalves and Smooth Tunes at Devils Corner on September 10.
Accommodation packages at Freycinet Lodge are available, with discounts for auto club members.
