SHE travels will hold a Mother's Day surfing retreat to coincide with its first Surf & Yoga Balangan, Bali, trip from May 13-19.
Designed as a mother-daughter experience, the retreat includes massages, daily surf lessons and yoga. Accommodation is in traditional Bali bungalows with private ensuite.
According to Roy Morgan Research the number of Australian women surfing rose almost 20 per cent between 2010 and 2014; however for those aged 50-plus the increase was 45 per cent.
SHE travel founder Suzanne Hart discovered surfing at the age of 48 and launched SHE surfs in 2014 to cater for independent women of all ages seeking a new experience with like-minded women.
The Surf & Yoga Balangan trips, which cater for all surfing levels, including beginners, cost $2490 for seven days, six nights (land only) in a quiet beach location away from the crowds.
