DO YOU yearn to go camping again but not for hammering in tent pegs and dossing down in a sleeping bag?
One of the NSW South Coast's most beautiful camping locations, Coolendel, on the Shoalhaven River, is offering glamping on its peaceful riverbanks.
From now until April 25, Flash Camp can be found at the Coolendel private camping reserve set among the tranquil surrounds of the upper reaches of the river, two-and-a-half hours from Sydney and 30 minutes from Nowra.
Specially designed for Australian conditions, the bell inspired "Flash Tent" comes with a king-sized mattress on timber pallets, solar lighting, table and chairs, Biology toiletries, timber chest, Armadillo rug and bedding.
For families with children, there will be the traditional Bell Tent option with quality Coleman air beds, solar light and bedding to match.
Guests will have access to all the regular Coolendel amenities including hot showers and barbecue facilities as well as a communal Flash Camp tented area with seating, fairy lights and campfire for cooking on and gathering around.
Situated on 52 hectares of bushland, Coolendel offers the quintessential camping experience with secluded grassy areas shared with abundant wildlife such as wombats, goannas, wallabies and native birds. Visitors can enjoy bushwalking, canoeing, biking and fishing as well as camp-based games.
The Bell Tents are from $110 a night midweek, $130 a night on weekends and $150 a night over Easter (April 14-16), with a three-night minimum stay over Easter.
The premium Flash Tents are from $160 a night midweek, $190 a night on weekends and $220 a night over Easter (April 14-16), with a three-night minimum stay over Easter.
