PASSENGERS putting their caravan or camper trailer on a Kangaroo Island SeaLink ferry will not have to pay the usual passenger fare for the next few weeks. Plus, they will receive a Discount Voucher Booklet offering up to $196 in savings on attractions on Kangaroo Island.
SeaLink is offering free return ferry transfers for two people and the Discount Voucher Booklet to anyone booking their caravan or camper trailer on a Kangaroo Island SeaLink ferry and travelling before September 15.
The island, south-west of Adelaide, is only a 45-minute cruise from the mainland and is a popular escape for retirees, who make up a big percentage of people towing caravans and camper trailers.
It has four caravan parks <\#150> foreshore parks in Kingscote and Penneshaw, and parks in natural bushland settings in the heart of the island in Parndana and at the western end next to the Flinders Chase National Park and popular attractions Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks.
All sites are powered and facilities include everything from picnic and barbecue areas to camp kitchens, walking tracks and self-contained villas.
SeaLink car and passenger ferries operate regular departures every day from Cape Jervis to Kangaroo Island return.
