CALLING Western Australians - your Christmas lunch could become an under- water affair this year!
AQWA has introduced a new seniors special Christmas lunch and invites you to get a group of 10 or more together for a day at the attraction and a delicious sit-down meal. It’s an opportunity to spend the day exploring 12,000km of WA coastline – all in just a few hundred metres.
From the icy waters of the southern ocean to the wonderland of coral reefs in the far north, AQWA reveals the incredible marine life of the state. There are more than 40 exhibits, including one of the largest living coral reef exhibits in the world, and Shipwreck Coast – the largest aquarium in the country.
At one of the exhibits, dangerzone, you can see a deadly line-up of marine creatures that can sting, bite or wrap their prey with suckered arms.
There’s even the opportunity to interact with some of the friendlier sea creatures at the touch pool.
AQWA, Hillarys Boat Harbour, Southside Dr, Hillarys, 9447-7500. Entry $30/$22. Seniors Christmas lunch special Monday to Thursday November 30-December 10. Minimum of 10, $49 per person (includes entry). Bookings are essential.
