SYDNEYSIDERS can immerse themselves in the varied cultures of western Africa at the African Rhythm and Roots Festival next month.
Marrickville's Addison Road Community Centre will host Australia's most prominent West African musicians and dancers, drum and dance workshops, cultural and food stalls on November 5 from noon to 9pm.
A stellar line up of international Afro and Reggae artists will bring bringing their high energy performances to the stage, including Afro Moses, Chris Gudu, King Tide and Keyim Ba.
Festival director Rachel Bangoura said the festival will be a fun and thrilling event for the whole family.
"African Rhythm and Roots Festival celebrates the West African culture by demonstrating how many West Africans have integrated their music and dance into daily life in Australia," she said.
