CREATIVITY, curiosity and craziness are all tied in together to present Melbourne's The Village Festival.
The festival features 250 artists and performers across three days at North Fitzroy's Edinburgh Gardens.
Billed as Melbourne's most intriguing event, the festival is part arts festival, part village fair and part carnival.
The Lola the Dancing Bear Show headlines the Friday opening night party and promises music, magic and circus-style performances.
Saturday night will see the premiere performance of Demon Dumplings, a group of 20 musicians all playing toy instruments such as party horns, slide whistles, whizzers and razzers.
And while it may sound comedic, the performance is actually a properly composed piece by BJ Morriszonkle and is performed by some of Melbourne's finest musicians.
Music for all tastes will be playing throughout the festival, while the theatre selection caters for both adults and children alike.
The festival is on from October 28 - 30.
Entry is via donation, with all proceeds going directly to the artists and performances.
