A new exhibition showcasing the designer behind Australia's currency is now open at the Royal Australian Mint.
The Designer with the Midas Touch explores the work and life of Stuart Devlin.
The Mint's chief executive Ross MacDiarmid said the exhibition explores the work of the influential artist responsible for Australia's circulating coins.
"Every Australian carries some of Stuart's work in their pocket, however may not be familiar with the full achievements of this great artist, ultimately influencing the development of twentieth century art," Mr MacDiarmid said.
"The Designer with the Midas Touch tells the incredible story of Stuart's life, who credits the opportunity to design Australia's decimal coins for spring boarding his career into the international arena, becoming one of the most renowned designers, goldsmiths and silversmiths of his generation."
The exhibition is free, but those wanting to learn more about Devlin can book a private, 30 minute tour for $10 per person.
Tours can be booked until the end of April.
A special commemorative coin will also be released in Devlin's honour.
It will feature the never before struck Kangaroo and Joey design based on Devlin's original 1966 concept for Australia's two cent piece.
The coin will be available to buy in February for $12.50 and can interest can be registered now HERE.
